Finding the Road that Leads Home

Hi there, some of you may know me and most you may not. Either way I just wanted to take a moment to tell a part of my story and the journey that has lead me here.

Starting in 2015 I had begun wanting to start my own art based business and get my name out there, being fresh out of college I was very excited as this prospect and not nearly as rooted in reality as I have become over the last 10 years. By 2019 I had been fortunate enough to meet my friend Misha the owner of EVOL Chicago and the EVOL Art Collective. Misha had begun to show me the way and really helped propel my career forward. He had taken me so far that I genuinely believed that I could make a living solely on my art. If I had stuck to the plan I believe that could have been my reality.

Between a global pandemic and being in a toxic relationship as well as struggling with substance abuse I fell from grace and I fell very hard.. I lost the light, the vision and the base I had worked so hard to build and I had no motivation or inspiration to get them back. Thankfully through surviving one of the most difficult and painful shifts in life I ever experienced I have found myself in the best place of my life thus far. I am 2 years sober, living in a safe and happy home with my husband and my menagerie of rescue animals and I am beginning to find my spark again.

My goal right now is to fit my creative work into my everyday life, not to dive in quite as deep as I had before. I hope you all will enjoy my creations of the past present and future and that you will stick around to see what I make of this next chapter.

It's been a long and winding road, but I am ready to settle into this next phase of life and I have realistic hopes of being able to share my art with the world again.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story,

Welcome to Lavoc Designs.

Much love from your friend,

Daelynn "Daisy" Caskey
