Description
This is a piece that began with a digital creation, one of the very first designs I created after I became sober. I have adored this concept so much over the years that it only felt right to breathe new life into her by making her a tangible creation all her own.
"Fallen" represents my own personal fall from grace as I lost myself for several years to alcohol abuse and being in the wrong relationship. After hitting the lowest point I have ever been I feel like I finally spread my wings and discovered my true self. Someone who is as imperfect as she is persistent in her pursuit of sobriety and building a new life.
This painting holds both pain and hope. May we always be able to pick ourselves up when we fall and may we learn from our mistakes and choose to push forward into the abyss without knowing that better times are coming, but holding onto the faith that they will if we continue to make the right choices.
