Description
This is a painting I made back in 2024 after the first time I cried in front of my now husband.
I was going through a very challenging time and navigating my way out of a toxic living situation where I no longer bought myself food or water due to it always being taken from me and hitting a lot point of mental and financial exhaustion. What started off as a funny joke ended in me sobbing for several hours while my partner held me close. It turned out to be a beautiful moment of vulnerability and the sense of security that allowed me to open myself up to the pain I was holding onto for so long and finally be able to let it out and begin to let it go. I decided to take this powerful moment in time and immortalize it in this painting.
Not everyone will feel the impact and the intensity that brought this painting into existence, but it will forever hold a special place in my heart.
